Damon Albarn

Hi, anyone here likes Damon Albarn?

I am very big fan since 2001, I have all his discography, including gorillaz, blur, and all his projects.

So, the latest news about Damon Albarn that I know:
As you know a new Gorillaz video clip for the Converse brand came out, which includes a collaboration with Andre 3000 and James Murphy.

The ChuckTaylor line of shoes (there are 4 models) are already on sale in the U.S. (and in Argentina will be in March 2013) with a totally different design.

Also on 26 March this year, will be released the album of the new Damon band called Rocket Juice & The Moon, with Flea (of Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and drummer of Fela Kuti, Tony Allem.

Also, Blur will play this year in Sweden and Denmark (August)
And is very possibly that a new record will goin to come out, but I do not know if is going to be this year (2012) or maybe in 2013.

And last but not least, Damon will play in the UK with his play Dr Dee in April 2012.

If you do not know Dr Dee is an opera created by theatre director Rufus Norris and musician and composer Damon Albarn, and was inspired by comic book author Alan Moore.

I love Damon! I haven't been a fan for nowhere near as long as you (I only discovered Blur in 2008 o_o) and I don't love him nowhere near as much as you clearly do, but I appreciate his brilliant songwriting and vocal abilities. Even though I never much got into Gorillaz or his non-Blur projects, I really mean to give them another chance.

Anyway, I can imagine all this Damon news surfacing lately has been very exciting for you.

My dream now would be a new project of Damon and Craig together. That would be like heaven, I probably die of love if that happens.

Haha, that would be awesome indeed. I'm sure Craig wouldn't be opposed, he's a massive fan of Blur. Btw, have you seen the photos of Craig wearing his Great Escape t-shirt?

YEAHHH, when I saw those pictures with the The great escape, and think tank Blur t-shirts and the other one of Gorillaz I died

Yesterday I posted it to Damon Albarns facebook if he had listened to Craig Nicholls and if he would like to do a project with him. But Damon is very similar to Craig with internet, never have anything and I think his official facebook is administered by someone else. : (

Oh and thanks for posting that link Caroline. Lovely photo of the band in 1991. ^__^ And wow, it never fails to amaze me how endlessly engrossing Damon. He seems like such a lovely man, beautiful personality; modest, thoughtful, honest (if a bit confusing). And his way of speaking is beautiful ("How does one talk about one's journey through life? It becomes a very different thing, doesn't it?"). Ahh, imagine being in the same room as him...
