The bass player he's playing with is left handed and the dude in the other photos is right handed haha... So it couldn't have been the same person

Self-released, now I don't know if Sony signed them for just the 1 album or what. I assume they dropped them after Craig's charges if that's the case. I couldn't find "white shadows" in it either.

Hey guys thought i'd share this. According to fasterlouder the 6th album is finished and an announcement is close for Craigs first solo project. It was in a post about the splendour mystery act.

The Vines – along with Bloc Party, Grinspoon and Hilltop Hoods – are perennial favourites on the Splendour lineup. Back in 2006, Craig Nicholls and his gang played at Splendour for the first time as a “mystery act” making a return to live shows after a two-year break. Since then Nicholls has developed quite a love affair with the festival and graced the Splendour stage on three more occasions (2008, 2010, 2011).

According to the band’s PR team, the Vines’ sixth album is “in the incubator” and there’s also an announcement coming soon about “a new and the first collaborative side project from Craig Nicholls”. Nicholls’ most recent release is a collaboration with Sydney based singer Appleonia (aka Jessica Chapnik Kahn) on the song ‘She is The Sun’, which appeared on the Despite the Gods soundtrack album. What makes it unlikely? The fact Nicholls was charged last year with assault.

Could also be the first performance of craig and nicks sideproject anyway good to know that both the albums are actually comming im excited!

Everything is a bit up in the air at the moment and the band's management isn't really saying much at the moment, so we've kind of had to piece little snippets of news together lately to get an idea of what's happening. This thread as well as this one are probably your best bet - have a read and you'll basically be up to speed in terms of the latest Vines news. Sorry I couldn't give you any real specifics!
