I've read that "Black Dragon" more often refers to oxy and/or heroin; oxy being synthetic heroin.

I prefer to think of it in terms of the phrase "chasing the dragon," which also originally refers to opiods but can be used to describe the "ultimate" high of any drug. Like, it's about dependence, regardless of the drug of choice...
