New Album of The Vines!

So it's been a while now since the last offical news have been announced. After they played a few new songs during their In Miricale Land "Tour", I was pretty sure that the album release would follow soon. On Facebook they said that the album would be released "later this year"...Now it's 2017 and we still got nothing :/

At the In Miricale Land "Tour" Craig said late last year or early this year for the album, so hopefully early this year now. I've come to learn that "soon" with The Vines means 'anytime in within the next year'! It'll be worth the wait judging by the new songs played live.

Vines party gon' be goin' down when Miracle Land drops. I'm hoping for some pre-order type of shenanigans with CD and t-shirt bundles!

Not long ago Lauchy West posted a picture of him laying on the mixing desk at the studio In Miracle Land as recorded in, and now there's a picture of him in the same studio "playing producer" for a band called Inklines. Anyway, next to that is a picture of someone from Inklines playing Craig's strat so presumably The Vines are recording more too if his guitar's there.

I guess the album will be released at some point, but it's very dissapointing to see how little the band and their management (if it's even existing) seem to care about their fans. We hardly get any news and whenever they promise a release "soon", it literally takes months or years until something is happening. At least that's what it's been like since 2009/10. But in the end, we always get the album and it's always great, so we have to stay positive

I check the forum and Vines social media on a regular basis and sadly no real news, even though the album was meant to be out early 2017. This is the closest thing to news as of late: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154966711263085&set=p.10154966711263085&type=3&theater

Can't figure out what the hold up is, it's possible that Craig isn't in a good headspace or could be to do with Tim moving away from Sydney and Lachy being busy touring with other bands. Judging by the new songs that were played live last year though, the album should be worth the wait.
