I just read this...=[ I really feel for you and I hope things have calmed down. Elena is, as usual, totally right! Don't let this get you down. You are not weak at all; in fact, I think you are extremely strong bc you come off so incredibly nice. I hate panic attacks, but together things will be ok! American hugs as well!

| Today - for no apparent reason - this group of 14 year old boys passing me in the corridor at school pushed me against a brick wall and walked off laughing at me. I may be short for my age, and shorter than them, but I'm 18. I'm in my last year of high school. I've experienced this before. I have experiences that I'm assuming they've never had. You'd think I would have built some immunity to this kind of thing by now, or at least some backbone... Guess not. | |

They're a bunch of retards, that's what :@ No, actually I'm offending all retard-dom calling them that, I don't even have a word to describe the behaviour they displayed :@ I know it's difficult to take something like this in one's stride, but think of all those people who love you*, and try to get those fucked-up, miserable worms out of your mind *and this includes one Arab-obsessed creature living in a God-forsaken place somewhere at the end of the world

Aww, Elenita! I had no idea that Ducky had any negative connotations! I just meant you are always so cute and sweeet like she is! Not ignorant or avaricious! You are only the good stuff!! And that story about what those kids have done to you makes me absolutely livid! Fuck them. Please don't ever ever let them get the best of you. I know it hurts, but hopefully someday they will mature. You are such an amazing girl. Love you forever LG- ok, no I am not really liam, but I am sure he would concur.

I am upset by this totally! I don't know any situation or place this is ok. Especially in a school where you should feel safe. These boys need to understand the word assault. Tell someone, teacher, counselor, principal... A gang of boys pushing around girls, is the precursor to other assaults like rape. ALWAYS walk in groups, never alone. Some times in shopping areas I carry my keys in a way between my fingers so they stick out as a good scratcher if attacked. They may use this as a way to check out targets that are easy to intimidate. Be careful, and always be aware of you surroundings. Never get used to being pushed around, it's never ok. Be safe! xoxo, Suzy Check out the stats http://www.aic.gov.au/statistics/violent%20crime/assault.aspx

Check out the stats http://www.aic.gov.au/statistics/violent%20crime/assault.aspx Yeah, I know that school should be a safe place, and things like this are thankfully rare so school is one of the few places I feel pretty comfortable (compared to other places). I always feel uncomfortable if I am out somewhere and no one is with me (even if someone is with me... haha) but at school I can walk around by myself and feel okay, which is good because between classes I don't see my friends as we have different classes most of the time. Besides, I know I need to learn how to be more independent but yeah, I still know a few of those little bits of advice like the key thing. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, even if it is pretty depressing thinking there are people like that around. As for those boys and boys like them, I doubt it will lead to anything serious, they're just young and stupid and think it's funny to intimidate people older than them. They'll grow out of it. Plus, drawing attention to it by involving teachers just makes me look even worse since the matter is so minor, and in that way, they think they've already won. Thanks for your concern, Suzy. *Insert that emoticon of a person offering a flower here* Oh and thanks for the link (local, too!), I'll have a read now.

| Was it a one off incident with those boys, Elena? If so, I honestly wouldn't think too much of it. No point in worrying too much about 14 year old boys anyway. They probably went home and had a pot noodle and a wank and forgot all about it. | |

Hahaha, that made me laugh. Well, similar things have happened before, but I don't think they're the same people, so you're right, I should just forget about it.

| The power went out at our place and we have to use our neighbours' electricity. But we're getting a new pole in tomorrow hopefully. | |

That sounds... unpleasant. - I have done nothing in terms of schoolwork since I got home this afternoon and it's nearing on 8pm. I feel guilty but I am not motivated at all and ugghhh do something, Elena!

Any snow, at least? We did have a few snowflakes, but it didn't last more than a few hours. Now it's just freezing. But it did snow in Paris last night. It was a big surprise for everyone!
