| First the forum change and now a band change up. I hope everyone is ok and everything works out ok. I dig the music so I hope more comes along. I wish everybody the best! | |

| As far as I noticed, the forum really needed a fresh start because of that spammer invasion thing, it was absolutely annoying and the moderators had to deal with it every single day, which wasn't easy or pleasant for sure. But they certainly did a brilliant job! I realise it's hard to leave the old forum with all its history and sentimental value but...meh.
And The Vines...oh this change is a shock to all of us fans and many of us still try to accept the news. Anyway, we're still waiting for Jessica to get her statement done and finally let us know what actually happened and why it did. Tough times indeed but we need to be patient.
[Off-topic]: I totally dig your signature! Yeats is a brilliant poet! (:

| I was always under the impression the drummer had disapproving looks towards Craig when he sang. Not really surprised at all. I think Craig should be the alpha force anyway. | |

| That's what I see from their live music. I hope craig continues to grow as an artist. Life is full of change! | |

| I hope neither of you don't mind and will excuse my interrupting of this conversation, but I have to admit I did notice those somewhat disgruntled looks Hamish gave Craig during his rowdier episodes in live performances (especially when Craig messed with his drums). However, I always assumed it was just an extension of dedicated concentration (no one looks happy all the time when they're going insane on the drums), and I thought it was understandable for when Craig hit over his cymbals. So, somehow I don't think that explains it... and besides, it begs the question: why now, after so long and periods of more turbulent circumstances?
But that's only my 2 cents, of course.

| Lol I don't know the behind the scenes chemistry but if someone looked at me like a tightwad while playing gigs I'd have a pissing contest too. Who knows what gets guys out of gear but i'm sure it was brewing. I think the ride of fame keeps people locked in but when it's on the downslide you have to find the inspiration again. I think people should support Craig in his future work. You can't force people to deal with each other. | |

But that's only my 2 cents, of course. That's what I used to think too! But then when I watched them on the future primitive tour, he really seemed to be gaining zero pleasure from playing... The mosh was crazy, everyone was having so much fun and he wouldn't even look at the audience....weird!

But if they'd had a massive fight why would Ryan and Hamish come to the home bake gig?? I think maybe it's worth remembering they watched from the crowd.....not backstage or side stage. I don't know, all we can do is speculate at the moment! I'm getting the feeling Hamish left. But i don't know why Ryan would leave too? And i also get the feeling Craig was being sarcastic when he said on stage at Homebake "GREAT to be here." i don't know if that comes across on the youtube video, i haven't seen it, but that's the feeling i got at the time...

But that's only my 2 cents, of course. I thought the same! It's a shame that all this is happening, i think we can just speculate, and hope to get some answers, everytime i noticed "Hamish's looks" i thought they got along, like they were ok with that.. i don't know what to think, but yeah, it's weird.. why now!?

| What's going on with a label? Didn't they pay for Future primitive themselves? Are they paying for #6 themselves too? I don't see where they'd get money to tour internationally at this point. I'm hoping for a revival! | |

They paid for the 5th album themselves before they got a new label contract but no idea about the 6th album or tour plans.

Me too. Even though we had a very brief reassurance from Jess that this isn't the end for The Vines, it's definitely a very scary situation..

Found this comment made back in March from above site: "Ahhh the Vines.. They had such good tunes but they were absolutely horrendous live; the set was ridiculously short and Craig got angry at his drummer, started throwing shit at him then left the stage and had to be begged back on. Hopefully Craig is more with it now as they definitely were a cool band."
Seems there has been trouble brewing for some time?!

| Maybe they're not going to finish #6. Maybe this is goodbye!? Who knows. Why would you quit while making an album? Obviously certain people think they're too good for the Vines. I wish everyone a big creative hug to move on and be the artists they need to be. | |

Seems there has been trouble brewing for some time?! Wooow. That is... certainly shocking and quite sad, in a way. It's getting hard not to start speculating again.

| I just hope this isn't like a Guns N Roses change up and Craig is wearing braids for a decade as a recluse. Man did Axle go down hard. Don't do it Craig! Keep it together! | |

Oh god, my friend from school and I were talking about the Vines' lineup change and the conversation turned to exactly this topic. I'm sure it won't happen though.
