God, don't say that! That's so bleak and depressing. And I believe it's completely untrue. People have enormous capabilities to change their patterns of thinking and habits and with perseverence it can be done. They were mostly homeless people and heavily under the influence into the bargain
No wonder the combination of the two proved deadly.
The worst situation is in the Ukraine, where – according to a report I've just seen – there're more than 10,000 (!!) homeless ppl in Kiev alone.

My Ancient History teacher of the last year has resigned out of the blue. He was one of my favourite teachers and he never even said anything but has apparently already visited the school to collect his possessions. As lame as this is, I'll really miss him. He was so nice and chilled out and was really funny too; he'd joke around with us about the content of the course, and other matters. And before and after we watched a (fictional) film based on the events of, and set in, the past he'd always say, in a slightly surprised yet accepting tone of voice, with a nod of his head, "here's another true story" or "true story!" haha.

I've just bought an Arabic language textbook, and whoa...

Some exemplary sentences one can find there:
ana Rami (I'm Ramy)

His wife has had some type of surgery on her feet and his two children (in their early 20s) recently had skin cancers cut out, so apparently he's compiling all his different leave types and having ages off, but my older sister knows his children and she said they're fine/ off travelling soon so she thinks it's for another reason...

Haha well actually he's been at the school for yeeears (most of his career, I'm guessing) but I only had him last year. Before that I had other teachers for history.
And yeah, our new teacher is my Geography teacher and student mentor, who I also had as a history teacher for a couple of years in my junior years. She's an awesome teacher, though her workload is massive. At least I know I'm in safe hands.

What I had meant was that that C. thing is just dreadful no matter who has it
So it is cancer after all... (it must be heartrending for a parent to see his/her child suffer from something like that...)
I just hope it wasn't anything malignant

My first thought was that perhaps he was one of those teachers who never seem to be able to stay in one place for more than a little while, and they usually are the best ones (that was, sadly, my experience)

For the first time in ages, I'm pretty sure someone's interested in hanging out with me and getting to know me, but I keep turning her down every time she asks me to do something. Why? I'm not sure. It's easier if I just say it's because she's not you.

And I'm not sure if it is, but I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. Unfortunately getting skin cancers cut out is a lot more common than you may think in Australia. For most people it gets cut out and that's the end of it.

Awh, I know. Me too. Certain words, images and even sounds kill me inside as they remind me of those horrible things I've experienced in regards to my father. Sometimes I really can't handle it. I started crying in my Biology class last year. >_< Luckily that was the only public incident.

^ Awwhhh, awesome! ^__^ Thanks for sharing. We had a really, really short yet mildly intense (haha) storm hit earlier. I waited all day for it to break; the sky was so black to one side and teased me all day with its faltering shades. At lunch it even had the nerve to throw down just a few tiny, round heavy drops which I caught in my hand. All day I kept one eye on the sky and this afternoon in particular it seemed it had so many moods; every time I looked up from my work and out through the window, the sky had changed in colour and its clouds in form. Finally this evening just before the sun went down the storm hit. The winds raged, thunder clapped and the rain flooded our backyard but it was all over within a couple of minutes. Such a shame. Zeus really likes to string me along!

By the way, do you still film videos, Suzy? I miss seeing your little updates in my YouTube subscriptions box.
